Laura McBain

Laura McBain is an educational leader with 25 years of experience in school transformation, project-based learning, and design thinking. They served as Managing Director and Co-Director at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford (d.school), where they led innovative learning collaborations. Previously, Laura was the Director of External Relations at High Tech High, orchestrating professional development and leading a MOOC on Deeper Learning. They hold a Teacher Credential from San Diego State University, an M.Ed. from Harvard University, and a BA from Miami University. Laura currently serves on the board of the Learner-Centered Collaborative and the advisory board of the Global Institute of Creative Thinking.
