LuAnne Abercrombie has a strong background in education and technology. LuAnne started their career as a Middle & High School Math Educator at Laguna Blanca School, where they taught various levels of math and incorporated technology into the curriculum.
LuAnne then transitioned to the tech industry, joining Digital Equipment Corporation as a Principal Software Engineer & Software Manager. During their time there, they gained expertise in software development and management.
After leaving Digital Equipment Corporation, Abercrombie took on the role of Chief Product Officer at Lesson Planet in 2012. In this position, they focused on providing educators with discovery, organization, and sharing tools, as well as quality Open Educational Resources (OER) to enhance teaching.
In 2017, Abercrombie joined Learning Explorer as their Chief Product Officer. LuAnne led the development of a unique curriculum discovery and content management platform used by thousands of teachers. This platform allowed teachers to personalize learning, address curriculum equity gaps, and integrate culturally responsive content.

LuAnne Abercrombie holds a Master's degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from the University of Colorado Boulder.
