Jackie Lain

Jacqueline (Jackie) Lain is the founder and president of Learning List, Inc. Ms. Lain formerly served as an Associate Executive Director of the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) and as TASB’s Director of Governmental Relations.

Prior to joining TASB, Ms. Lain was the National Director of Public Affairs for the Standard and Poor’s School Evaluation Services division. From 1999-2000, she served as a White House Fellow in the White House Office of Intergovernmental Affairs, where she helped to communicate the Administration’s education policies to state and local elected officials. Ms. Lain then served as Interim Director of the White House Fellows program from 2000-2001.

A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the UT Law School, Ms. Lain began her career practicing school law at Walsh, Anderson, Brown, Schulze and Aldridge in Austin. She also served as editor of the Texas School Administrator’s Legal Digest, a monthly magazine summarizing state and federal legal opinions that impact Texas school districts.
