Shannon Howen

Shannon Howen has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Shannon currently holds the position of Marketing Communications Manager at Learning Resources since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Marketing Manager at Learning Resources / Educational Insights, starting in September 2018.

Shannon had a long tenure at Learning Resources & Educational Insights, where they started as a Marketing and Tradeshow Specialist in May 2012. Shannon later transitioned to the role of Associate Marketing Manager from September 2018 to June 2022.

Before joining Learning Resources, Shannon worked as a Sales Associate at New York & Company from September 2006 to June 2014. Shannon had joined Learning Resources initially in September 2002, where they held the roles of Sales Services and Tradeshow & Events Coordinator. As a Tradeshow & Events Coordinator, they were responsible for coordinating national tradeshows, handling all logistics, booth design, and managing the company's events.

Shannon's early career includes working as an Administrative Assistant at Mudd-Lyman Sales & Service from May 2001 to September 2002. In this role, they provided support to the Vice President of the company and performed various office duties.

Throughout their career, Shannon has gained valuable experience in marketing, communication, sales, event planning, and administrative roles.

Shannon Howen graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Prior to that, they attended College of Lake County from 2016 to 2018, where they obtained an Associates degree in General Studies. Additionally, Shannon obtained a Hootsuite Platform Certification from Hootsuite Academy in July 2021.
