My name is Philip Navarro, and my mission is to improve children’s lives through direct support and teacher training, by promoting their strengths, addressing their needs, and helping them to understand and leverage their unique cognitive profiles.

My skillset includes executive functioning and social coaching in addition to multisensory teaching, and over the past fifteen years I have been a successful interventionist and classroom teacher across grade levels and content areas, as well as a productive teacher-trainer. I have extensive experience with gifted students who benefit from academic, organizational, and social support.

I employ and promote evidence-based practices, and, where these are lacking or unsuccessful, I turn to interventions informed by high-quality research. I continually develop my skills and knowledge-base in order to be the best possible resource for students, families, and teachers.

I hold an M.S. in Special Education from Johns Hopkins University and have pursued extensive professional development to expand and sharpen my skills, including in executive functioning, social cognition, dyslexia remediation, and multisensory methods for math instruction.
