Daniel E. Turissini

Daniel E. Turissini has extensive experience in cybersecurity and technology leadership, currently serving as the Chair of the AFCEA Homeland Security Committee and a member of the Board of Directors for AFCEA International. Since 2015, Daniel has also worked as a Certified CMMC Assessor and CMMC Provisional Instructor at Educare of Northern Virginia, while providing independent consulting services to organizations on information technology and cybersecurity risks. Additional roles include Course Instructor at Applied Technology Academy and Learning Tree International, and prior positions such as CTO at SPYRUS Solutions, Inc. and SolPass LLC, where oversight of cybersecurity initiatives was emphasized. A founder of Operational Research Consultants, Inc., Daniel has a history of innovation in systems engineering, particularly in Identity Assurance and Security, alongside significant contributions in executive leadership roles at Widepoint Corporation and Advanced Response Concepts Corporation. Daniel holds a BS in Engineering & Nautical Science from the United States Merchant Marine Academy and a MEA in Engineering Administration from The George Washington University.
