John Dever

John Dever, CPA, CGMA, is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in direct cost management and financial analysis. Currently serving as a Senior Accountant at Learning Tree International since September 2015, John focuses on direct cost accruals and maintaining various General Ledger schedules. Prior roles include Senior Accountant at Mandiant (a FireEye Company) from February 2014 to September 2015, where responsibilities included managing prepaid expenses and account reconciliations using NetSuite and Oracle Financials. Earlier, John held the same title at Learning Tree International from July 1998 to February 2014, overseeing all direct costs related to classes and analyzing variances between budgeted and actual costs. Beginning professional career as a Functional Applications Analyst at PRC from 1994 to 1997, John holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from James Madison University and an Associate's degree in Government Contracting from Northern Virginia Community College, with additional coursework completed there between 2016 and 2022.
