Goele Geeraert

Goele Geeraert is an experienced educator and communications professional with a rich background in teaching and journalism. Since April 2022, Goele has served as an OKAN Dutch teacher for migrant and refugee children at Stedelijk Onderwijs Antwerpen and simultaneously teaches Dutch as a second language at Learnlight. Prior roles include a school counselor position at the British International College of Cairo and a freelance journalist for various publications from 2005 to 2019, focusing on topics such as Africa, Europe, and economics. Goele has also held various communications and leadership positions, including communications specialist at Journalismfund.eu and director at Scriptie vzw. Educational accomplishments include a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from AP Hogeschool Antwerpen, a Master's in Germanic Languages from KU Leuven, and ongoing studies for a Master of Science in Psychology at Arden University.
