Nagi Nashed is an experienced language professional with a diverse background in interpreting and translation. Currently serving as an Arabic Tutor at Learnlight since November 2019, Nagi teaches British adults who have no prior knowledge of Arabic. Nagi has been a Qualified & Registered Legal Interpreter for HM Courts and the Metropolitan Police since 2004 and has provided medical interpreting services for the NHS since December 2002 across various hospitals and clinics in London. Additionally, Nagi works as a Freelance Translator specializing in numerous technical and specialized topics, including medical, legal, and commercial fields. From February 2006 to July 2013, Nagi acted as an Examiner for the Chartered Institute of Linguists, assessing qualifications in translation and public service interpreting. Nagi holds a Master's degree in Applied Translation and Linguistics from London Metropolitan University, completed in 2005.
