Devops Team Lead at Learnosity

James Maxson has a diverse range of work experience in the IT industry. James began their career as a Local Area Network Technician, where they supervised and taught students computer skills, fixed broken machines, and managed AD accounts. James went on to work as an IT Technician and Purchaser at Morongo Basin Mental Health, troubleshooting and assisting with IT needs. James then worked as an IT Analyst at Antares and as a Network Administrator I at Children's Home Society & Family Services.

James later joined Cyber Advisors as a Help Desk Technician, where they remotely resolved Level 1-2 Helpdesk issues via phone and remote desktop console. James also performed server maintenance and managed user accounts. James then worked as a Service Desk Analyst at ABILITY Network, where they provided first contact support, resolved help desk issues, and managed end user applications.

Currently, James is at Learnosity, where they started as a DevOps Engineer and has now become the DevOps Team Lead. In this role, they write and maintains a large amount of Powershell code and is responsible for Azure automation and orchestration of infrastructure. James also leads a team and drives projects forward.

Prior to their time at Learnosity, James worked as a Network Administrator consultant/contractor at Robert Half Technology. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to supporting and improving IT systems.

James Maxson attended Point Loma Nazarene University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Computer Science. James then studied at the University of Phoenix from 2009 to 2011, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology.
