We—a group of parents, educators, educational scientists, English learners, and writers—started LearnThat Foundation in 2004. We couldn’t find an effective solution for vocabulary development and spelling, so we set out to create it.

LearnThatWord.org provides customized and adaptive online coaching. Every member learns words they need, at their own pace. We track proficiency and make sure students learn words long-term through adaptive spaced review.
It’s fun, fast, and effective. We effectively serve struggling as well as advanced learners of all ages.
Some of our ready-made goal modules:
English language learning (second grade and higher, incl. higher education);
Spelling Bee coaching;
Bullet-proof your spelling skills
Learning disabilities;
Test prep (SAT, TOEFL, GRE, etc.);
Academic vocabulary.

LearnThatWord can be used in the classroom or individually. Adding your own words is a snap.
Basic vocabulary tutoring is free. Premium features include spelling coaching, performance review and rewards.
