It began in 1986, when LeConte Co-Founder Hoy Grimm started his investment career by directing his focus toward the municipal bond business. In 2001, LeConte Co-Founder Kevin Painter entered the financial services industry as he joined Suntrust Securities. In 2002, Grimm and Painter began their partnership at Suntrust and later became a nationally recognized team.

After identifying a better way to do business and put their client's best interest front in center, Grimm and Painter left Suntrust. On March 15, 2007, they established LeConte Wealth Management as a local, independent resource to serve high net-worth clients.

In 2014, LeConte Wealth surpassed $100 Million in assets under management. That same year, LeConte Wealth became a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) exiting the brokerage business and becoming a fiduciary.

Since becoming an RIA, LeConte has added a few more members to it's team, including a respected local accountant in Jon Dockery.

Today, LeConte Wealth manages over $350 Million in assets for their clients by providing an array of services that include asset management, financial planning and tax preparation/consulting. We call this Purpose-Built Planning.
