David Garcés

Supply Chain Director at Lecta

David Garcés has a diverse and extensive work experience history. David started their career at SALICRU in 2000, where they worked as an R&D Engineer for seven years. In 2007, they joined DEBID as a Senior Project Engineer for a short period of time. Later that year, they moved to Lecta and took on the role of Energy Manager for their Cogeneration Plants, focusing on power plant reliability, efficiency, and compliance. David then progressed to become the Purchasing Manager for Energy & Equipment, responsible for energy procurement, risk policy definition, contract negotiation, and pricing. In 2018, David became the Project Director at Lecta, overseeing projects until May 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Supply Chain Director at Lecta.

David Garcés has a diverse education history. In 1997, they started their undergraduate studies at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Electronic Engineering. David completed this degree in 2001. In 2002, David enrolled at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona to study Electronic Engineering until 2004. In 2008, they pursued a degree in Paper Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, completing it in 2011.

David furthered their education in various fields through certifications and programs. In 2012, they obtained advanced level training in Negotiation Strategies from AERCE and in Gas and Electricity Purchasing Management from ASPAPEL. Additionally, they completed a program on the Spanish Electricity Market Operation at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in an unspecified year.

Furthermore, David continued their professional development by obtaining certifications such as "Leading Yourself" from LinkedIn in 2017 and "Time Management Fundamentals" from the same institution in the same year. Currently, they are pursuing a Candidate, PDG - General Management Program from the IESE Business School, with an expected completion by 2024.
