There has never been a truly fast, portable, and fossil-fuel-free way to cook outdoors or off-grid, until now. Traditional propane and isobutane stoves pose real risks: they can’t be used safely in enclosed spaces like tents, vans, or cabins because of carbon monoxide. Open fires are increasingly banned in campgrounds and parks during wildfire season. And those disposable fuel canisters? They pile up in landfills, nearly impossible to recycle. California has already outlawed non-refillable canisters, signaling the direction of national policy.

Meanwhile, the world is moving beyond fossil fuels. Most Americans see climate change as urgent. Even those who don’t still contend with wildfire restrictions, extreme weather, and laws reshaping how we cook, camp, and prepare. These forces are transforming the outdoor and off-grid market and creating demand for resilient, sustainable alternatives.

Lectric Boil is answering that call. Our Overlander system—a dual-burner, battery-powered induction stove and generator with a removable battery—is the first of its kind built in the USA. Lightweight yet powerful enough to boil water in minutes, manufactured in Michigan from 100% recycled plastics, it’s built for campers, tailgaters, overlanders, and families who want safety, durability, and peace of mind when the grid goes down.
