Raphaël Geslain has a strong background in embedded software engineering. Raphaël began their career in 2009 as a Smartcard Software Engineer at IDEMIA, where they developed secure source code for smartcards and worked on payment applications, Global Platform features, and biometric and cryptographic operating systems. Raphaël also played a role in innovation-related activities, including patent registration and technical supervision of trainees. After five years at IDEMIA, Raphaël joined Irdeto as a Senior Software Engineer, before moving to Ledger in 2019. At Ledger, they started as a Lead Firmware Engineer, responsible for the firmware and SDK development of B2C products, and eventually became the Head of Embedded Software, overseeing engineering deliveries and extending the scope of the team. In 2023, they were promoted to the role of Embedded Software Director at Ledger.
Raphaël Geslain earned an Engineer's degree in Computer Sciences and Applied Mathematics from the National School of Computer Science and Applied Mathematics of Grenoble from 2006 to 2010. Raphaël also obtained a Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Sciences in Security, Cryptology, and Information Coding from Université Grenoble Alpes in 2010. Additionally, they completed an Erasmus exchange program in Information Technology Security at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 2008 to 2009.
