Ivory Bennett

Ivory Bennett, M.Ed., is a dedicated professional with extensive experience in child welfare, education, and media. Currently serving as a Co-Design Team Member at The Annie E. Casey Foundation, Ivory is involved in initiatives to improve Allegheny County's child welfare system. As a Liaison with Lived Expertise for the American Academy of Pediatrics' Council on Foster Care, Adoption, and Kinship Care, Ivory advocates for children and youth at risk of family disruption. Additionally, Ivory hosts the InnerViews Podcast, focusing on trauma and emotional well-being in marginalized communities, and manages the Youth Voices Rising program at Fostering Media Connections, which amplifies the perspectives of youth with lived experiences in foster care. Other roles include playwright, wedding officiant, author, and trained doula, alongside participation in various educational and advocacy organizations. Ivory holds a Master of Education from Concordia University Texas and has a rich academic background in Africana Studies, English Literature, and Theatre from the University of Pittsburgh.
