David Batt

David Batt has over 18 years of professional experience in the legal industry. David began their career in 2002 as Head of International Department at GZH Notaires, where they counseled private and institutional English-speaking investors with regard to real estate transactions, French and international tax law, and estate planning. In 2004, they became a Contract Attorney at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where they reviewed paper and electronic documents while representing Vivendi Universal in a multi-national securities class action litigation. David then worked as a Contract Attorney at Segal McCambridge Singer & Mahoney in 2007, and as a Capital Markets Associate at Baker & McKenzie in 2008. In 2010, they worked as an Independent Consultant, providing legal, management, financial and marketing advice to a start-up company. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Contract e-Discovery Attorney at various companies, performing document review quality control and privilege analysis. In 2015, they became an Associate Litigation Manager at QuisLex, managing multicultural teams of 10-80 attorneys and language experts. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as Director of Solutions and Deliverables at Legal Outsourcing 2.0, managing a team of 60+ experienced document reviewers, contract managers and AI annotation specialists in India. Currently, they are the Director of Sifter Operations at LegalSifter.

David Batt attended the International School of Paris from 1988 to 1994, where they obtained an International Baccalaureate. David then went on to Tufts University from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a BA in Environmental Studies, French, and Russian. David concluded their education with a JD from New York Law School from 1998 to 2001. David is a Member of the New York State Bar and has also obtained a LegalSifter Review Certified User certification in 2023.
