Daniel Porus has a diverse work experience spanning both legal and business roles. Daniel started their career at Russell McVeagh as a Solicitor from February 2011 to August 2013. Daniel then joined Mills Oakley as an Associate, where they provided commercial and strategic advice to owners of private and family businesses. Daniel received the Mills Oakley Rising Star Award in 2013 and was promoted to Associate in July 2014. In 2017, they worked as a Consultant at Eastern Market Brewing Company, advising on business models and pricing strategies. Since 2017, they have been associated with Legatics, initially as Head of Business Development and currently as the Chief Commercial Officer.

Daniel Porus completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Cambridge Judge Business School in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a LLB degree in International Law and Legal Studies from Utrecht University in 2009. Daniel also holds a dual degree in LLB and BA, with a focus on Economics, from The University of Auckland, which they earned from 2005 to 2009. Their secondary education took place at Auckland Grammar School from 2000 to 2004.
