Hao Chen

Hao Chen's work experience begins in 2004 when they worked as a Contributor for PHP. From 2008 to 2009, they served as a Senior Software Engineer at Comsenz Co, Ltd. Hao then joined Perfect World Co., Ltd. in 2009 as the Technology Director until 2017. During this time, they also worked as the Director of Engineering and later as the Engineering Manager at Perfect World Entertainment, Inc. from 2009 to 2012. From 2012 to 2017, Hao Chen was the Director of Engineering at Perfect World Entertainment, Inc., where they managed and led a global team of engineers and worked on various projects.

In 2018, Hao Chen joined Huobi Global as the Senior Director of Engineering and was responsible for leading the team and launching a new exchange in the U.S. Hao then moved on to become the CTO of HBUS, a cryptocurrency exchange based in San Francisco. Hao Chen also founded Koi Trading, a cryptocurrency OTC desk, where they served as the Founder and CEO. Hao raised $3 million in investments from Binance, the largest cryptocurrency exchange.

Hao Chen served as an Advisor at AnChain.AI Inc, where they provided technical advice and expertise on Blockchain, Cryptocurrency exchange technologies, and security.

In 2020, Hao Chen co-founded Flashwire Limited, a digital bank that embraces digital assets. The company raised $10 million in its Series A funding round.

Currently, Hao Chen is the Co-founder and CEO of Legend Trading, a digital asset trading firm. The firm offers deep liquidity and competitive quotes for institutions to execute large orders. Legend Trading is one of the largest OTC desks in the industry with more than 700 institutional clients and $10 billion trading volume per year. Additionally, Legend Pay, the fiat-to-crypto gateway of Legend Trading, has been integrated by institutions globally.

Hao Chen's education history begins with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Chemistry from Xiamen University, which they obtained from 1999 to 2003. Hao then pursued a Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry at the same university, completing it from 2004 to 2007. Finally, Hao Chen went on to earn a Ph.D. in Physics at Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg, where they studied from 2007 to 2008.
