Career and Leadership Coach

Norm Mitchell has worked for several organizations since 2009. Norm began their career as an Adjunct Professor at Duquesne University, followed by a role as Director of Organization Development at Capital Blue Cross, where they developed a framework and processes for launching a subsidiary, as well as introducing and leading procedures for defining mission, purpose, principles, and architecture. Norm then joined Harrisburg Area Habitat for Humanity as a Member of the Board of Directors in 2011. In 2016, they founded GoLifeSurfing LLC, where they have served as Owner, Business Consulting & Coaching, streamlining organizational processes, delivering exceptional training/coaching, and leveraging leadership skills to train and empower cross-functional teams. In 2019, they joined LeggUP Inc. as a Career and Leadership Coach.

Norm Mitchell has a long history of educational accomplishments. Norm obtained their BS in Psychology & Philosophy from Monmouth University between 1970 and 1974. In 2007, they earned a Masters in Leadership from Duquesne University. In addition to these degrees, they have obtained a variety of certifications, including a Master Life Coach Certification from Expert Ratings in August 2016, a Master Business Coach Certification from Expert Ratings in June 2016, an AIMaster from Implementation Management Associates in November 2011, a Certification in Level I & II Change Management from Lamarsh & Associates in March 2007, a Six Sigma Green Belt from Harley-Davidson in March 2007, a Certification in Lean Manufacturing from Lean Learning Center in October 2005, a Certification in Operational Excellence from UNiveristy of Wisconson in April 2005, a Certification in Facilitation from DDI in August 2000, an InsideOut Coaching from InsideOut Development in February 2000, and an MBTI Master Certification from CPP in October 1996.
