Alexander Fast, PhD, is an accomplished optical sensors systems architect with over a decade of experience in the medical device industry, focusing on R&D initiatives that blend academic research with commercial applications. Currently serving as the Principal Engineer for Imaging Systems at Leica Biosystems, they drive innovation in digital pathology through advanced imaging system development. Previously, Fast held various positions including Chief Technology Officer at InfraDerm and a T32 Postdoctoral Fellow at Beckman Laser Institute, where they contributed to the advancement of noninvasive imaging technologies.
