Mark Hessels serves as the CEO of Mighty Waves Energy Inc since January 2022, providing strategic and tactical leadership in the floating offshore wind industry for both Department of Defense and commercial applications. Prior to this, Mark Hessels held the position of Senior Programs Director at Leidos since October 2001, where responsibilities included leading IT programs to successful implementations and recovering at-risk programs. Mark Hessels also gained experience as Assistant Treasurer and Senior Program Manager at Washington Gas from June 1996 to March 2000, and as Senior Manager of Finance and Senior Program Manager at GE from January 1989 to June 1996. Educationally, Mark Hessels earned an MBA in International Business from The Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School between 1994 and 1996, alongside a BS in Biology and Chemistry from UMBC from 1981 to 1985.
