Thomas Proios is a Principal Engineer at Leidos, where they focus on substation design and power systems design. With nearly 50 years of experience in the power industry, they have held significant roles including Sr Project Manager at Patrick Engineering and Manager at Duke Engineering & Services. Thomas has contributed extensively to both nuclear and conventional generation plant systems, as well as in various committees within the IEEE Power & Energy Society. They earned a Bachelor of Science in Electric Power Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 1973 and are currently looking forward to semi-retirement.
