Senior Vice President - Space Systems development

Thomas Taverney is the Senior Vice President of Space Systems development at Leidos, having held this position since 2001. With extensive experience in space systems development, program management, and acquisition, Taverney has contributed to various prestigious projects, including leading the Commercially Hosted Infrared Program, which earned multiple awards. Previously, Taverney served as Vice Commander of Air Force Space Command and was involved in significant operations supporting military space initiatives. A graduate of the United States Air Force Academy and the University of Southern California, Taverney is also a recognized leader in the field, receiving numerous accolades such as the AIAA von Braun award and induction into the Space Operations Hall of Fame.
