Lorenz Thaler has worked at LEITNER ropeways since 1993. Lorenz started as a Mechanical Engineer and worked in that role until 1996. Lorenz then became a Welding Engineer for a year before becoming an Assembler on site for another year. In 1998, they transitioned to a new role as a Production Engineer and later became a Technical Sales Representative. In 2003, they became a Valuation Analyst and worked in that role until 2007. Lorenz then became an Expert in materials management for a year before transitioning to a Controlling-Expert role in 2008. Finally, in 2011, they became the Head of System Administration for LEITNER ropeways.

Lorenz Thaler attended HTL-Gewerbeoberschule (Maschinenbau) from 1994 to 1999. During their education, they obtained various specializations from Gruppo Istituto Italiano della Saldatura in 1994. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained several certifications, including Engineering Business Software (CPQ) - technical configuration, pricing & quotation / LEEGOO Builder from AUTOMATION SYSTEMS ENGINEERING LP in 2011, Additional specialisation Logistic Controlling from CA Controller Akademie AG in 2009, Additional specialisation Sales Controlling from CA Controller Akademie AG in 2008, and KPA-Analytics from Porsche Consulting in 2007.
