Akilan D. is a dedicated professional with diverse experience in research, writing, and advocacy. Currently serving as a Writing and Consulting Intern at Leland and a Research Assistant at UCLA Language and Cognitive Development Lab, Akilan is involved in studies on language development. As a Core Kidney Clinical Assistant and Volunteer at Bruin Beans Health Club, Akilan contributes to the CORE Kidney Program under Dr. Anjay Rastogi, MD, PhD. Previous roles include a Research and Advocacy Intern at Until There's A Cure Foundation and Co-Chair of the CA Agriculture Committee at Sierra Club, focusing on sustainable agriculture initiatives.
