Pierre Fillon is an ophthalmologist and the President of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest, creator and organizer of the 24 Heures du Mans. They served as President of CMCM Pôle Médico-chirurgical du Mans from 2004 to 2011. They are the Président du Conseil de Surveillance of CMCM - Pôle Médico-chirurgical du Mans from 2012 to present and hold the role of President of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest since 2012. They participated in a health system think group at Ministère de la Santé from 2007 to 2011 and in a working group on medical contraindications to the driving license.
