Michael McCarthy is a collaborative real estate leader and community development advocate with a strong focus on affordable housing. Beginning their career during graduate school with an internship at a national housing developer in New Jersey, they served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kazakhstan, leading community-building projects. Over the past 14 years, Michael has successfully managed diverse teams in New York City, securing over $1 billion in capital financing for affordable housing developments and providing new homes for over 2,000 individuals and families. Currently, they serve as Development Project Director at Lemle & Wolff Companies while continuing to seek innovative ways to connect investors and communities. Michael holds an MBA in Finance and a Master of City and Regional Planning from Rutgers, as well as a BA in International Relations and Spanish from Michigan State University.
