Kirk Hanley has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Kirk started their career in 1986 as a Test Engineer at General Motors and later transitioned to Ford Motor Company, where they worked as a Product Engineer from 1990 to 1995. Afterward, they became self-employed and worked as a Freelance Writer and Performer for various projects until 2013. During this period, they also worked at The Second City as a Writer, Performer, and Director from 1998 to 2007, and later as the Producer for Chicago Stages in 2007-2008. In 2008, Kirk joined Second City Works as the Head Writer until 2013.
In 2013, Kirk continued their freelance work as a Content Writer. Their recent work experience includes roles as a Video Script Writer at Lemonlight, VeracityColab, and KAIA.aero, starting in 2021. Despite the lack of specific start dates and end dates for some roles, it is evident that Kirk has a strong background in writing and performing, with a particular focus on video scripts.
Kirk Hanley earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Kettering University, where they studied from 1981 to 1986. Additionally, they obtained a Google UX Design Certificate from Coursera in May 2021.
