Melvin Baker currently serves as the Chaplain of Historically Black Church Chaplaincy at Syracuse University since July 2018, providing worship experiences for the university community. In addition, Melvin holds the position of Protestant Faith Chaplain at Le Moyne College since November 2015, where responsibilities include coordinating non-Catholic Christian ministry services, overseeing retreats, offering pastoral counseling, and advising student organizations. Melvin's previous roles include Program Associate/Consultant at InterFaith Works of CNY and Program Director at Jubilee Homes of Syracuse Inc, among others. Melvin obtained a Master's degree in Social Work from Syracuse University and a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Roberts Wesleyan University.
