Sonya Allen

Sonya Allen has extensive work experience in tax operations and accounting. Sonya most recently worked as the Senior Director of Tax at LendingTree since February 2019. Prior to that, they held the role of Senior Manager, Tax Operations at Novelis from June 2014 to January 2019. Before entering the corporate sector, Sonya worked at Deloitte as a Senior Tax Associate from September 1993 to February 1996. Their earlier roles include being the Director, Income Tax Accounting & Controls at Walmart from January 2010 to June 2014 and the Vice President, Income Tax Accounting at Wells Fargo from February 1996 to January 2010. Sonya has expertise in tax provision calculations, tax reconciliation, research and analysis of tax legislation, as well as managing tax accounting matters related to acquisitions and post-closing adjustments.

Sonya Allen earned a Master's degree in Taxation from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business in 1992, after completing their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Accounting at Belmont Abbey College from 1988 to 1992. In addition to their formal education, they also hold certifications such as Excel for Accountants from LinkedIn and is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina.
