Peter Jönsson

Peter Jönsson serves as the Clinical Development Medical Director at Camurus since February 2024 and has been a Senior Medical Director at LEO Pharma since September 2017, with roles including People Manager for Global Safety Surveillance Innovative and Medical Director focusing on dermatological drug development. Prior to LEO Pharma, Peter worked at Novartis as a Medical Advisor for the respiratory franchise from February 2015 to August 2017, and at Novo Nordisk as International Medical Director overseeing the development of a novel FVIII compound for hemophilia A during phase III from December 2010 to February 2015. Previous experience includes positions at AstraZeneca as a Research Physician and Clinical Pharmacology Physician, and as a Clinical Pharmacologist at Ferring Pharmaceuticals. Peter holds a PhD in Pharmacokinetics and a Doctor of Medicine degree from Lund University, a Diploma in Managing Medicinal Product Innovation from Copenhagen Business School, and is pursuing a Diploma of Education in Pharmaceutical Medicine at Karolinska Institutet.
