John Townsend

John Townsend, PMP, has extensive experience in program and project management, currently serving as a Senior Program Manager at Leonardo DRS since May 2002. Townsend leads program teams focused on Electronic Warfare systems for the Middle East, overseeing project delivery under Direct Commercial Sale and Foreign Military Sales contracts while managing teams and subcontractors to meet cost and schedule objectives. Prior roles at Leonardo DRS include Program Manager, leading the development of integrated surveillance platforms, and Manufacturing Engineer, where Townsend created assembly processes for various electronic components. Earlier experience as a Process Engineer at DMC Manufacturing involved managing circuit board assembly production and designing manufacturing layouts. Townsend holds an MBA in Financial Management and a BS in Commerce and Engineering, specializing in Operations Management, both from Drexel University.
