Michael Yates

Michael Yates is an experienced cybersecurity professional currently serving as a Cybersecurity Engineer at Leonardo DRS since October 2023. Prior to this role, Michael worked as an Information Systems Security Engineer II at Paragon Technology Group, focusing on Risk Management Framework (RMF) and system security plans. Michael’s background includes rapid cybersecurity training through the Cybersecurity DevOps Pathway at Intellectual Point and a cybersecurity internship at Apex Systems, where knowledge of network security systems was applied. Additional experience includes a 20-year career in the United States Air Force, where multiple roles, such as Regional Recruiting Manager and Security Forces Specialist, were held. Michael's educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Cybersecurity and a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Information Systems Security from American Military University, along with degrees in Human Resources Management and Criminal Justice from the Community College of the Air Force.
