Andy Ranson

Andy Ranson is a strategic initiatives manager at Leonardo in Newcastle, where they focus on supporting the growth of the Newcastle office and the wider North East region with an emphasis on AI and Autonomy. They have a diverse background, having held various engineering and project management roles at BAE Systems, alongside serving as a development manager at NWG and a senior software developer and Scrum Master at Ikon Science. Currently, Andy also chairs the North East Regional Defence and Security Cluster, aiming to strengthen the local economy and supply chain for the MoD. They are pursuing a Senior Leadership Apprenticeship in Business Administration and Management at Durham University Business School.
