Arvind Mahendran

Arvind Mahendran has extensive experience in mechanical engineering, currently serving as the Head of Mechanical Engineering Capability and previously as Mechanical Industrial Capability Manager at Leonardo since September 2012. His responsibilities include shaping strategic direction in tools, processes, and personnel, while also focusing on advancements in the Digital Thread. Arvind has held various engineering roles, including Principal NPI Engineer and Industrial Engineer, where key achievements involved managing new product introductions and setting up production lines. Prior experience includes undergraduate engineering roles at Selex Galileo, engaging in mechanical design and quality assurance, as well as earlier positions in construction and IT. Arvind holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Manchester.
