Caterina Lops is currently a Program Manager in the Business Unit Space within the Electronics Division at Leonardo S.p.A. They previously held the position of AIT Laser Engineer in the Airborne & Space Division at Leonardo from 2019 to 2024. Caterina earned a Ph.D. in Physics from Università degli Studi di Roma Tre, focusing on precision optics and lunar laser ranging, and was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at INFN from 2011 to 2013. They also contributed as a Consultant at Altran, working with Leonardo Finmeccanica in Aerospace and Defence from 2015 to 2018.
