John Gardiner is an accomplished software engineer with extensive experience in software security and architecture. Currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer in Software Security at Leonardo since September 2020, John focuses on security across the software stack. Prior to that, at MBDA from September 2016 to September 2020, John held the position of Principal Software Engineer, where responsibilities included designing architecture for a bespoke cross-platform launcher system while collaborating with international teams. John's earlier roles include Senior Software Engineer and Software Engineer at Sainsbury's and a Logistics Coordinator position at netaccess UK, where management of the CyberSec1 product range and development of Cyber Risk analysis tools were key contributions. Additional experience includes a software engineering placement at EADS, which provided valuable industry exposure. John holds a Master’s Degree in Cyber Security and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Games Programming, both from De Montfort University, as well as education from Luton Sixth Form College and Stopsley High School.
