Lee Evans

Lee Evans is a highly experienced Senior Test Pilot at Leonardo since May 2018, specializing in flight testing for the Wildcat and Merlin aircraft. Previously, Lee served as an Experimental Test Pilot Instructor at the United States Naval Test Pilot School, where instruction was provided to military and civilian pilots, and as an Experimental Test Pilot Tutor at ETPS, focusing on rotary wing engineering and test pilot training. Lee's extensive background includes roles at MoD Boscombe Down as an experimental test pilot and instructor, where project piloting of the Merlin Mk2, Wildcat, and Lynx was conducted, as well as foundational experiences as a Qualified Helicopter Instructor in the Royal Navy and as a flight helicopter pilot on various naval vessels. Lee's educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Flight Dynamics and Evaluation and specialized training at renowned institutions such as ETPS and the Defence Academy.
