Roberto Agrone has extensive experience in the telecommunications and defense sectors, currently serving as the New Initiatives and Strategic Development Manager for the Leonardo Electronics Division since January 2016. Prior roles include various leadership positions in technological development, notably as CTO for multiple divisions within Leonardo and its predecessor companies, including Selex ES and Selex Elsag. Roberto has a solid background in systems engineering, which began with roles as a Software Engineer at Marconi S.p.A. and progressed to team leadership in 3GPP and GSM technologies throughout the 1990s and early 2000s. Roberto holds a Laurea in Electronics/Robotics/Telecommunications from Università degli Studi di Genova, obtained between 1985 and 1991.
