Simon Thompson

Simon Thompson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications and security sectors. Currently serving as a Secure Communications Sales Engineer at Leonardo since March 2018, Simon contributes to the Security and Information Systems Division. Prior to this role, Simon held the position of Principal Radio Engineer at TETRA Networks since January 2009, focusing on TETRA network design and optimization for various projects. From 2005 to 2008, Simon led a team as Test Manager at Software Radio Technology plc, overseeing the testing of software protocol stacks and hardware during international field trials. Earlier experience includes a role as Test Engineer at Northrop Grumman Corporation, where Simon performed RF and functional testing for the AIRWAVE TETRA Radio Network. Simon's technical foundation was established at Brooklands Technical College from 1980 to 1984.
