Thomas Sutherland is a Principal Systems Engineer at Leonardo, having previously served as a Senior Electronics Engineer and Technical Apprentice at the same company. They completed a First Class BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from Edinburgh Napier University in 2022. Recognized as the Institution of Engineering and Technology’s Apprentice of the Year in 2019, Thomas is actively involved in the IET’s Young Professionals Committee, guiding the next generation of engineering professionals. As a strong advocate for apprenticeships, they have shared their STEM journey at various employment and government events.
