Philipp Freise

Philipp Freise is the Co-Head of European Private Equity at KKR, where they have contributed to establishing a robust German franchise over a twenty-year tenure, leading transactions including Demag and MTU Aero Engines. Since 2005, they have focused on the Technology Media and Telecom industry vertical, spearheading numerous successful investments such as BMG Rights Management and Axel Springer SE. Philipp is also a board member of GfK, LEONINE Studios, Mediawan, and Axel Springer SE, and previously co-founded Venturepark AG. With a strong interest in technology and sustainability, they are involved in the arts as part of the executive board of the Richard Wagner opera festival in Bayreuth and the Development Committee of the Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London. Philipp earned an MBA in Business Administration from WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management.
