L’association ouvrière des Compagnons du Devoir et du Tour de France (AOCDTF) is established according to the french law 1901. Its activity is focused on the training of young persons (14 – 27). The Association of today represents the traditional trades of the Compagnonnage du Devoir which can be classified in 4 main domains (building, metal working industry, bakery, flexible materials). Its specificities rest on 2 pillars : 
- the travel, real enriching professional life in France and around the world and, 
- the alternation of work periods and training periods.
