Dan Smith serves as the Group Chief Financial Officer at Lesaka Technologies Inc. since October 2024, contributing to the development of a leading fintech in Southern Africa. Prior to this role, Dan was the Investment Director at Value Capital Partners from August 2021 to September 2024, where focus was on enhancing returns for stakeholders as part of a prominent investment firm. Dan's expertise in corporate finance was further demonstrated as the Founder and CEO of DLS Advisors (Pty) Ltd, a boutique advisory firm specializing in M&A, debt and equity raising, and restructuring from February 2020 to 2024. Dan’s career began at Standard Bank South Africa, where from July 2010 to January 2020, roles included leading complex investment banking activities such as mergers and IPOs. Dan holds a Bachelor of Accounting (Honours) degree from the University of the Witwatersrand, obtained between 1991 and 1995.
