Monique Maree

Monique Maree is an attorney and director in ENSafrica’s corporate commercial department, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, particularly in transactions involving Africa. With extensive experience in M&A work, Monique provides transaction structuring advice, conducts due diligence investigations, and handles contract drafting and negotiations. Previously, Monique worked as an associate at Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs, where they practiced corporate restructuring and advised on the South African Companies Act, 2008. Monique holds both a Bachelor of Accounting and a Bachelor of Law from the University of Stellenbosch. Currently, Monique serves as General Counsel for Lesaka Technologies Inc. since 2025.
