Heather Rivas

Heather Rivas is an experienced musician and educator currently serving as the Bandleader, Keyboardist, and Playback Tech for Laufey since September 2023. Rivas has been a Touring Keyboardist/Guitarist and Playback Engineer for pop artist Jamie Miller since April 2022, and retains a focus on teaching piano through multiple roles, including private instruction at Lessonface and Southern California Piano Academy. Additionally, Rivas has a strong academic background, holding a Master of Fine Arts in Jazz Keyboard from the California Institute of the Arts, where Rivas has also been a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Previous touring experiences include collaborations with artists such as Jacob Banks, Emily Kinney, and the Alternative R&B band Heather's Say (formerly Riva Saputo). Rivas has also contributed to music education through roles teaching music theory at the California Institute of the Arts.
