Andy A. Accettola is an experienced educator and researcher with a strong background in English Language Arts instruction, educational research, and curriculum development. Between July 2012 and August 2017, Andy served as a teacher at Mount Vernon City School District, where innovative programs, such as the Peace Education Project and a partnership with Kenyon College, were developed. In early 2022, Andy held an instructor position at Loyola University Chicago, successfully teaching graduate-level courses and significantly contributing to syllabus development and assessment strategies. Further academic involvement includes roles as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at the same university. Currently, Andy serves as a Senior Research Scientist at Lumos Learning, focusing on data storytelling and visualization, while also acting as an Educational Consultant and member of the Educator Advisory Board at LessonLoop to enhance student learning practices. Andy holds multiple degrees across educational research and curriculum, with a PhD in Research Methodology in Education from Loyola University Chicago in progress.
