Founded in 2011 by Mechanical Engineering professors of the University of Pisa, Letomec got the acknowledgment of spin-off Company of the University in 2016. In 2012 an innovative measurement principle was patented by Letomec (HELIOS EP2912452).

Letomec srl expertise is specific to design involving complex issues (elasto-plastic models, creep, fatigue, fracture, stress corrosion cracking, corrosion-fatigue, etc.) and to solve failure analysis case study and prediction of damages which may affect structures during manufacturing and service life.
