Software Engineer II at Highlight

Brandon Reno has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Brandon is currently working as a Software Engineer at Highlight since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at SKAEL, Inc. where they held multiple positions. From October 2021 to August 2022, they served as a Backend Developer, responsible for developing scalable microservices, writing docker files, and standardizing code across the company. From July 2021 to October 2021, they were a Software Engineer Intern, involved in writing abstraction packages, managing databases, and developing packages for interfacing with relational databases.

Brandon also gained experience at the University of the Pacific. In 2020, they worked as a National Parks RTTP Fellow, contributing to the design and digital adaptation of an RTTP game focused on the national parks system. In 2019, they completed a Sports Marketing Internship, where they created advertisements and animations for the university's athletics, using software like Maya, After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere. In 2018, Brandon worked as a Computer Science Tutor, assisting students in understanding data science and data structures concepts and teaching programming languages such as Python and Pandas.
